Artist Statment
As an artist, the only way to accompish what I imagine, is by incorporating my personality. In my pieces, I prefer to use bright, contrasting colors to create a bold look. I believe my skill in this field comes from my parents, grandparents, and brother, all of whom are also fascinated by art. I have been surrounded by quality art for as long as I can recall. However, part of the reason I am artistic is from constantly doodling on papers and within books. I don't believe I possess a worksheet or paper that doesn't contain a funny picture or detailed face. Also, I don't believe I have ever had a teacher who hasn't been concerned by my constent drawing. However, I feel this aspect has benefited me greatly when learning new techniques.
